vs DUMB

DUMB runs the stack. StreamBridge runs the bridge.

DUMB (Debrid Unlimited Media Bridge) is an all-in-one Docker image for a complete automated media setup: debrid and Usenet workflows, Arr automation, media servers, request tools, dashboards, logs, and routing. StreamBridge focuses on one job: pick a movie and put it in Plex from a Mac.

What DUMB is

DUMB is built for people who want the whole media-server control room in one container. It can wire together tools such as Zurg, Riven, CLI-Debrid, Plex, Jellyfin, Emby, Sonarr, Radarr, Prowlarr, request apps, PostgreSQL, Traefik, cloudflared, and more. You choose the components you want, then DUMB gives you a dashboard and a guided setup around them.

Where the overlap is

The overlap is Plex seeing debrid-backed media as normal library files. DUMB can get there as part of a larger automated stack. StreamBridge gets there directly: browse catalogs, choose a movie, and publish it into the Plex server you already run.

Where it gets heavy

DUMB's strength is also its tradeoff. You are running Docker, service ports, volumes, optional reverse proxy routes, media-server components, and whatever automation tools fit your workflow. That is excellent if you enjoy owning the stack. It is a lot if you only want Plex to play the movie you just picked.

What StreamBridge does instead

StreamBridge is one native Mac app. Connect Plex, add Real-Debrid, browse Stremio movie catalogs, and tap what looks good. The movie appears in Plex without standing up a NAS, exposing dashboards, or maintaining an automation stack. How it works →

Automation vs choosing

DUMB is the better fit when you want automation to keep a library moving on its own: watchlists, requests, indexers, quality profiles, and background services. StreamBridge is deliberately more manual at the decision point. You browse, choose, and publish, while the app handles the mounting, stream selection, cache, and Plex-facing details underneath.

So, which one

If you already run a home server and want a configurable, all-in-one media platform, DUMB is closer to what you are looking for. If you have a Mac and a Plex server and mainly want debrid-backed movies to appear in Plex with minimal setup, StreamBridge is the simpler fit.
