A bottomless Plex library that takes zero disk space.

Browse catalogs like Stremio, watch in Plex on every device. Pick a movie and it lands in your library, ready to stream as you watch. Nothing fills your drive.

StreamBridge collections in the Mac app

Your Plex library, without the storage hobby.

You already picked Plex: the couch, the remote, every device in the house. What you probably don't want is another hobby: drives to fill, downloads to babysit, automation to debug.

StreamBridge keeps the parts you like. Browse Stremio movie catalogs on your Mac, tap what looks good, and it lands in your Plex library. Collections stay current on their own. On the TV, browse those collections in Plex itself: same app, same remote.

Movies stream as you watch. StreamBridge finds the stream, keeps playback smooth, and handles hiccups before you reach for the remote. Everything runs on your Mac. There's no StreamBridge cloud, and nothing new to install where you watch.

Park it on a Mac mini next to your Plex server and the whole household gets a bottomless library while the machine sips power in a drawer.

Browsing a StreamBridge collection in Plex

Can it…?

  • Can I browse catalogs like Stremio? Yes. Subscribe to Stremio movie catalogs, browse posters in the Mac app, then browse those same collections in Plex on your TV, phone, anywhere.
  • Does it store full movies on disk? No. Movies stream as you watch. You're not filling a NAS with terabytes of media.
  • What's the cache? Small. StreamBridge keeps a little data per title so Plex can scan and start fast (~25 MB each, ~6 GB for 240 4K movies). It's not the movie itself. How it works →
  • Does it download the whole movie first? No. Only the part you're watching streams in, and StreamBridge prefers sources that start instantly.
  • Do I need to install anything in Plex? No. Plex just sees a normal library folder.
  • Does it support TV series? Not yet. Movies only for now. TV series are on the roadmap →
  • Does it do subtitles? Not yet. Automatic subtitles, synced timing, translation, and two languages at once are on the roadmap →
  • Can I watch on my TV, phone, anywhere Plex runs? Yes. If Plex plays there, StreamBridge works there.
  • Is it a subscription? No. Free to use; Pro is a one-time purchase.
  • Does my viewing data go through your servers? No. There are no servers. Everything runs on your Mac.
